Contemporary theater is ferociously – and often also desperately – seeking viable paths through the maze of post-modernism, intermedia and fragmentarism. This search often leads to blindness as today’s unlimited possibilities are very difficult to navigate. Nobody knows what is tasteful or beautiful anymore, what is new and what is original, what are the limits of art or what ideas to explore in an era when more has been said that was ever needed. Many answer these questions by looking for beauty and meaning in movement, music or acrobatics.
These are aslo the diverse ingredients which form the cocktail presented in Na Větvi! (Bough Shocked) by Décalages – Theater In Motion at Prague’s Alfréd Ve Dvoře theater.
