CIRCUS PHYSICAL EDUCATION
CIRCUS ARTS FOR SCHOOLS
Scientists at the Oxford University have concluded that juggling has a positive effect on the human brain. However, the positive effects of juggling and other circus techniques, such as balancing, pair acrobatics or aerial acrobatics on the development of motor, emotional and social skills are being continuously ascertained by young people across the globe. Many of these young people have the opportunity to experience the circus arts first hand during an alternative physical-education class led by top-notch circus lecturers and professional artists visiting their schools.
In the Czech Republic, Cirqueon – A Center For Contemporary Circus operates its TěloCIRK (Circus PE) project which offers classes of circus techniques suitable as an alternative physical education period.
WE COME TO YOU OR YOU COME TO US!
Attractive activities balancing on the borderline between sports and arts stimulate complex personality development and group dynamics. Classes can be offered as one-off or long-term cooperation.
The courses are suitable for all school children from first to ninth grade. No prior experience with acrobatics or juggling is necessary.
In the time of two school periods, we offer a trip to the world of juggling, aerial acrobatics and balancing techniques.
CIRQUEON is an umbrella organization for the support and development of contemporary circus in the Czech Republic and closely cooperates with international professional circus schools. CIRQUEON has long-term experience in teaching circus and our lecturers are seasoned teachers and professional artists.
